Find Sharlinie

Posted on Jan 31, 2008 under Missing | No Comment

Happy Birthday to Sharlinie.

It was her birthday yesterday and by now, she should be 5 years old…

I would like to extend my sympathy to her family but I am praying hard that she will be found and at the safe position ready to be home with her family for good.

For those who don’t know what I am talking about (especially if you are not form Malaysia), Sharlinie disappeared from a playground located about 200 metres from her house early this January.

*Abductor

The whole nation is searching for her and the abductor. I just hope that the authority is getting close to finding her whereabouts and quickly bring her home where she should be, happy with her family.

I ask everyone in Malaysia to keep an eye on any suspicious person or familiar face that you might think it’s her or the abductor. Her family is in need of all our help.

Parents, please take good care of your children. These days people dare to kidnap children who are only a step outside of the house. It might seem unfair to not allow your children to step outside to play but without proper supervision, your children might be the next victim. Continue to teach your children to not talk to strangers or accept candies or invites to certain places that might interests them.

The two sisters from Puchong were very lucky to escape from being abducted just because the strangers offered candies. Yes candies might sound too simple but it will attract children so easily.

I would like to thank to police and authorities for trying hard to find the missing people all these while and hope that in the near future, we will have lesser crime cases in this country.

We love and treasure lives so much that’s why we chose this path. Study medicine, become a doctor and give life a second chance to live. When I got cancer, I feel that my life turn upside down. I keep thinking how disappointed and regretful I would be if I have to die early and unable to achieve my dreams to protect lives. Today, a brilliant future doctor passed away before she manage to realize her dream.

Lee Nian Ning, 21 yr old medical student studying in UNSW, Australia, passed away in a bus crash accident near Slim River on Friday. Read the article from theStar.

This is not the first time we hear people die in such accidents caused by irresponsible bus driver. And each time such accident happened, I will close my eyes and hope I won’t see a familiar name listed as the victims in the newspaper. We wanted all the best for the people we love and hope they are safe but not everytime we will be so lucky. We can’t predict when bad luck will hit us but we definitely can do something to prevent accidents from happening.

Nian ning family have decided to take legal action on the bus company. Let’s help Nian Ning’s family and fight for justice with them. If you are one of the victims or families of the victims from the bus crash, please step forward to contact Chung Lern and Nian Ning’s families. What you do today may change the fate of other passengers.

For more information and updates, do drop by Jolene’s blog.

Dear bloggers,

Please post this on your blog now to help:

Chung Lern and Nian Ning’s families would like all families and friends of the victims, dead or alive, in the Slim River Bus Crash to come forward and join them in taking action against the bus company. Stand up to seek justice for these three innocent individuals, who were all so young and full of life.

If you have a blog, please call out to ANYONE who

knows someone who survived or did not survive

the crash to come forward to join the Lee family.

Make a huge difference, make a huge fuss.

For now, you may contact Lee Chung Lern at chunglern@gmail.com or preferably on his handphone at 012-6670368.

May you rest in peace, Nian Ning.

There is also a facebook group has also been made in honour of her memory. In loving memory of Lee Nian Ning: 1987 -2008

Nosy Relationship?

Posted on Jan 26, 2008 under Relationship | No Comment

I just have to let this out. So bear with me…

I got a call from a friend, Joseph (not his real name) who just came back from Australia for a study break. It was not at all difficult to recognise his distinguish British-slang voice. Being playful, I asked “Who’s this?”

We caught up with alot of updates over the phone until at one point he was telling me about another friend, Mark (not his real name) being angry with him.

I was thinking in my mind, “Oh no… what did you do this time”

See, he has a knack or an impulsive habit of trying to get into other people’s life and just out ot being overly nice, he would ‘council’ or ‘advice’ people what to do as though he’s somebody’s parents or God. By understanding the global human nature of AVOIDING these kind of people and getting totally offended, unless and only unless one seeks for proper advice.

Joseph, with his bad habit of being nosy and not realising how bad it is, he offended MArk badly.

Why?

See, Mark had a major crush in a girl whom they both know. When Joseph found out about this, he deliberately went to meet up with this girl and thought he can do some ‘investigating’ to find out whether she’s the right one for Mark.

*Take note… they are not even best friends.. just FRIENDS. Besides.. even if they are, one should always ask for permission if he or she can meet up and get to know that person better.

Not only Mark was angry, he was intense furious! That is because Joseph not only secretly met up with the girl to ‘investigate’, after he was done ‘investigating’, he went to tell Mark what he had done and started advicing/preaching/whatever you can name it… to Mark that she is not the right one for him.

I mean, who does he think he is? I was rather pissed off too when I heard that because I never like anyone being nosy in my relationship as well! Joseph was not at least bit guilty of what he had done. In fact, he sort of blame Mark for being angry over his ‘nice-ness’.

I wanted to blow up right through the phone but I took a deep breathe and said “I have many to comment but don’t want to get involve in this. It is only between you two and you both should settle it unless either one of you need my comments and help.”

Period.
